The NSAL National Annual Awards Competition offers young artists an exceptional opportunity to perform for a panel of top-ranked professional judges. The Chapter Drama Competition will take place in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, March 16, 2019, and the National Competition will take place in Washington D.C. May 30-June 2, 2019. THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE ST. LOUIS REGIONAL COMPETITION IS MARCH 1, 2019.
The First Place Chapter Winner receives $2,000, and the opportunity to compete for several National prizes of up to $12,000. The Second Place Chapter Winner receives $1,000 and the Third Place Chapter Winner receives $750.
The St. Louis Chapter Competition is open to any U.S. citizen or legal resident living in the St. Louis NSAL region, including Missouri, southern Iowa, and southern Illinois.
Competition contestants must have reached the age of 18 but not yet reached the age of 28 as of the date of the competition. You should not have equity status or be under professional management as of the date of the competition. The local chapter will provide financial support for the winner's participation at the National Drama Competition in Washington D.C., including transportation, meals and accommodations. (Important Note: the winner of the competition in St. Louis must be available to stay in Washington D.C. from May 30-June 2, 2019.)

The Dorothy Lincoln-Smith Classical Voice Award Competition is open to singers age 23 through 31. It will take place in spring 2019. The Award grants up to $10,000 in prizes, and the maximum individual award is $5,000.
